You can read up on my post at the ocforums HERE (http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=505192). I think that my next step is to use SPDTool to dumb down the ram to DDR2-667 at 5-5-5-18 timings. I know that there are a few people on these boards that have used it before. I have attached the .spd file of the a-data ram I am using.

i can help you out. Give me a bit to see if i have something that matches. You are probably limited to 667MHz ram.

this SPD might be worth trying (http://www.importjdm.com/shipped/mushkin_512MB_spd.spd)

Hello again,

this might work. This is a mushkin module that has 533 4-4-4 and 667 5-5-5 timings

It is a 512MB module like yours, it in theory SHOULD work. The IC's are Elpedia. If you have the same IC's you are definitely in the clear... not sure what a-data is using.

Either way, it is the closest I got. I am not guaranteeing that this will work, use extreme caution, by flashing your SPD you are voiding your warranty.

Well that worked, I can now run both of my a-data dimms together with that mushkin spd. The only problem is it only runs at 266 frequency, it wont do 333 :( maybe thats the max this motherboad supports?

Bingo. If the higher rated SPD could be picked up it would be. Looking at their users guide, it doesnt actually specify what the ram max is, but this is a BIOS limitation. All you can do is flash to the latest BIOS and see if it picks up the 333MHz speed

Dunno what more you could ask for. Be happy! You are lucky I have a ton of ram laying around.

Anyway, enjoy.
