Just curious if anyone has done it and not had to worry about any damage. I've gotten them to DDR2 950 at 2.1v. That's the max the bios goes to...however there's a jumper to go to 2.4v on my motherboard. Just curious if anyone has done this without hurting their modules.

I've done it with my OCZ Platinum Rev2, which also use ProMOS chips. Only for a short time though, and with a 120mm fan blowing on them. With 2.2V the max they'll POST is 480. With 2.4V, I can get them to POST to the max my CPU will go to (580).

The Promos ICs have on-die voltage regulation so, most likely, all you will do is generate more heat with 2.4v. FWIW, warranty is 2.1v maximum.

Warranty issues aside, any idea then why I would get better performance even at 2.2V or be able to POST at 2.4V when it won't POST at 2.1V? Or are there different kinds of ProMOS ICs?
Promos IC's respond very negative to anything more than 2.3v.
best performance is at 2.1~2.2V
