I think its about time I got me a new power supply. Ya know, with the power connector feeding the CPU itself literally burning out and the random shutdowns, I would say I need a new one!
This is what I was looking at as a potential buy. (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=382329)
With having:
Opteron 170 at 3ghz even;
2gb of mixed ram (matched enough for stability);
Three WD2500Js in RAID0;
One simple DVD burner;
Our very own Wes' previously own 7900GTKO with 700/810. Vmodded, of course (Will be upgrading to an 8xxx series in the near future);
An old Audigy2 and a WLAN card.
My Mobo is a DFI Lanparty Ultra-D, I believe AD1 revision.
Oh, And I must mention that I have my WC setup running off the PSU as well.
Whats powering this currently, you ask?
A measely Thermaltake TR2-430w. From the likes of what I hear, its not even rated at that. With a meager 18a on the 12v, anyone can tell this sucker is running past capacity. Yay for overloading!
Im lookin to spend about $100 even, so give me a good suggestion for something that will last. Remember, I do plan on getting myself an 8xxx series card soon.

March 2007 XS PSU Of The Month (To Be Posted):
http://www.eastluna.com/hardware/details.php?id=2469
54 Amps on 12V Rail, 650W, High Quality Internals, and native support for DX10 Hardware. It's about 2-3 levels higher in quality compared to the Ultra.
EDIT: It's $27 above $100...but then again, you wanna be safe with that $300+ 8800GTS or that $500+ 8800GTX, which ever one you choose :)
Good PSUs are good PSUs and you tend to buy them once every few years. My Powerstream 470w is still going strong after 4 years...

I believe that PSU right there may be the one I choose after all. I need one.. And BAD. What sucks is that since that connector is burnt out on my motherboard, im gonna have to replace it myself. From what I can tell no other damage has been done to the board besides this CPU power connector.
Heatguns ahoy!
