Is there a certain way I should go about setting this up. I have been working on my computer for the last 7 hours today, I have had so many un explained problems with different thing since dual booting with vista xp.
My most recent problem started after I installed XP on the 2nd partation of the same drive that had vista installed first. After the reboot when XP completed the installation, the BIOS would hang on "ACPI Controller" I have isollated the problem down to the two OS's on the drive because it gets past it no problem if I unplug that SATA drive from the computer and re-boot, but no bios configuraiton will make it go past it. :(
Now I'm wondering, do I need to 1st install XP then Vista to get past this? Because last night I installed vista on a free partition with this drive and it booted fine, I just had issues with other things like BF2142 CTD every time.
Also would it just be best to install each OS on seperate HD's to avoid problems? I do have two drives, I just wanted to use my 2nd HD for storage.
