While I've read many people here recommending Corsair PSU's, I still can't get rid of the feeling that these PSU's aren't worth recommending. The main point that is always holding me back to do this is that I've learned from experience that brands are always good in one thing, and usually in one thing only. I've tried to give other brands a second chance, but I always regretted this soon afterwards. Philips once decided to threw their lightbulbs away and (of all things) decided to make CD-R's. I've bought 10 of them once, all turned into coasters. Asus, strangly enough, sells DVD drives. Bought one, never had so much trouble with it. The LED blinks for no reason, the lid comes out with too much force sometimes, the lid won't return into the drive sometimes, sticking out and refusing to close...

I could give dozens of examples like these, but this "do what you do best, and keep doing it" mentality if high here. We call it "schoenmaker blijf bij je leest", but sadly enough, I don't know what the translation is, I know I can't translate it literally, but if somebody knows, please let me know... :D

AFAIK, Corsair= high-performance RAM, not PSU's. RAM and PSU's are 2 completely different things, using silicon is the only thing they have in common. :)

So, what is your opinion on this, as of yet, I can't stop feeling that these Corsair PSU's are no good, I don't know why... something just doesn't feel right.

Corsair PSU's are rebranded/repackaged units from Seasonic, a very well established OEM that's been in the business for quite some time.

It's not a matter of feeling or opinion when deciding whether a PSU or any product is superior to another. Corsairs units are virtually the best in their price range, and their modularity and large fans only sweeten the deal.

Seasonic builds to Corsair's spec, these are NOT re-branded Seasonics!

I have personally tested both the Corsair 520W & 620W, both are EXCELLENT PSU's,
the Corsair 620W is the finest PSU I have ever tested! :fact:
