a friend of mine reckons he benchs 19500 on his pc, without overclocking, is this possible, he has a 3200+barton and a asus mobo and not sure about the rest, as i have to over clock mine to get there, my setup is listed below.::brick: :brick:

I have a 3200+ and I am overclocking and I don't bench 19500.
I assume you're talking about 3dMark01 SE, correct?

your friend is blowing smoke up your bum.look at my 2001 score and thats with a 9700@425core 350mem.

i think those mem timings and speeds are whats holding me back. kinda beat story, the day before my twinmos bh-5 came in my 9700pro whent nuts. so never got to bench above 200fsb withe the 9700pro so im gonna have to buy another one soon.

So there is more potential in your sys if u get better rams and a fsb far above the 200 ! ;)

Can you share some results with us about the 3200+? Someone @born2oc tried it for 1 or 2 days and it did 2,4xx @ stock voltage. Me thinks that's pretty nice, cause i need 1,9 volts for that...

just got another text off him saying he had 20013. and he hasnt overclocked the cpu??

That is an overclocked XP processor running at 2500MHz and 200MHz fsb and the graphicscard is probely overclocked too.

It's possible with a Radeon 9800 Pro, which he has.. with R9700 Pro not overclocked it isn't though. But as said above a 3200+ barton isn't 2.5ghz.. it is 200fsb though.

He probably raised the multiplyer on it.
