Has any one compared gaming performance with XP cat 7.2's and Vista, or does any one have any links to any benches? Im dual booting with vista/xp but have all my games installed on the partition with XP, I hate re-booting into XP when I play a game but I have heard gaming performance so far with ATI cards isnt very good in vista but I haven't seen any benches. Would appreciate any input.

Gaming performance imo is same with games i play.
With 3d05 with 7.2s i get a slight increase with Vista for 132xx marks with no vga oc.
Best to install your games on vista and try.

My gaming experience is roughly the same. Counter Strike: Source is maybe 3-7FPS less average. BF2 & BF2142 run the same. Test Drive Unlimited runs the same, as does COD2 and others.
Overall it's the same. Vista ain't half bad, I'm loving it. :D

Slightly off topic but it's really nice to hear someone say that (about vista i mean). Personally i'm not a big fan of the change of interface but people just rip it for no reason. my little bro has had the beta installed for quite some time without any problems (well at least once you disable that untrusted program crap).
Games seem to run almost identically for him. 3dmark is also roughly the same.
