I'm seeing a lot of threads related to overclock de Striker Extreme over differents C2D and mems.

And a lot of n00bs spend all year savings, bought this motherboard to learn ocing, but they don't even know what is HTT, Vcore, etc.

So... I will be making (and I hope you to help me) a guide for overclock. The most of the people have a E6600 and a pair of DDR800 v2,1 volts supported, so i think that is a great idea to start with it.

Best BIOS for ocing your rig and flash it!
Basical Values
Advanced Values (VTT, advanced timings, etc).
Programs to monitor your Tē, Mhz and voltajes.
Let's start ocing!
---- FSB Mhz max
---- CPU Mhz max
---- Mem Max (really... best value)
Making a stable ocing. (FSB-CPU-MEM max)
SuperPI and Windows XP tweaks (from blackviper).

Please help to do this :D . I cant make it just alone.;)

Looking forward to it. I was searching for a quick overview. I think people bought it for the features ( cool leds that light up but stop you booting up lol) rather than the overclockability as it seems to be relatively unstable! I will try to help as much as I can :)

Yeah, I spend like.. ten minutes trying to figure out why it didn't boot... until y pushed the light button.

About unstability... it seems to be a VHT and CPU VTT problen (auto settings).

you should probably put the ram first so you might wanna move it up.

I dunno about other ppl but i can vouch that my board is very stable. The only thing unstable about it are the crappy bioses that are out.

Ok, the max FSB i got yesterday was 1866 QDR (466 Mhz base), just enough to beat someone :D I got like mm.. +0,5v on NB and VTT.

Any more?

testing ram bandwidth effect of various fsb values:

ht 1.2 @ 1.5v real
cpu vtt@ 1.35v real (up to 1.6v+)...effects??
nb @ 1.48v real
[vcore at 1.42v real]
1002 bios
ram 4-6-6-6 1T 850

1900 [475x7] 3325GHz 6400mb/s
1665 [416.25x8] 3330GHz 6700mb/s sandra
1480 [370x9] 3330 GHz 6400mb/s

increasing to 1.5v on 1.2ht helped me for higher fsb...but at 1.6v it craps out.
i havent noticed any effect of cpu vtt raise or lower yet.

i am still unable to run 500 fsb...maybe due to inadequate volts/cooling on nb...?
any higher nb volts it craps out....

0402 bios is best for me for cpu oc.

havent tried 1004 bios

no two cpu's or other components are exactly the same; there will always be variations.
