Sony will launch the PS3 in europe at Friday 23. March 2007. The launchparty is at the sonycenter in berlin. Its for free and open from 19:00 till midnight. And of cause u can win a PS3 :slap:

for some reason, I dont' see it selling as well in Europe as it did in the US

namely because something like 40% of the PS3s were sold at launch or off of presales and now the hype is gone since it's evident it offers no better performance the M$'s product...

The EU PS3 is also a cutdown version with extremely poor PS2 support. Only 1 of 12 topgames worked on it.

and no one turned up :). I dont think sony will fare well in europe with the PS3 I wouldnt buy one even if they where £200.

The fact that they have good charlotte there means that even if I happened to live in Germany, I wouldn't go. Not to mention I have no desire to show any support for sony at the moment (personal experiences as well as the whole mess they made of their PR).

that will b upped in time with updates.
the xbox360 had the exact same problem with old xbox games but people tend to forget that.

for me to buy the PS3 it needs a few killer games and Sony always had alot of those so im expecting them to come.
65nm cells hould also drop the price so.

if id live near Berlin id totaly go for Atze Schröder but i doubt he does a full show :/

don't think anyone above 12 with any PS3 knownledge will be turning up...

I have a PS2 which is dying, and a quite a handfull of old games which now I find will not work on the PS3. Backwards playback was a reason for me to upgrade since I further own shedloads of PS1 titles which I still play. But now that is out of the question, I will most definately only buy the PS3 when it costs at least 30% less than now.
