I would like to move my "program files" off of a small partition to a different one, rather then re-installing all programs from scratch. Is this possible? I know just cutting pasting will not work, and I couldn't find any way to change the target in the icons for programs like office? This would just save me a lot of time.

Note:
I was able to move the files for small programs like winamp using the cut/paste method and changing the target. But how would this work with an app like MS office?

Just for info what I do is install windows and all the programs on one drive and use my second drive to save all my data onto. That way all I have to do is tell the programs where to get the data from.

Sorry I don't know how to answer your questions!

The easiest way is to buy software for file transfering or a back up software like Acronis just point the software to where you want the files transfered preferably another disk or a partition if need be. Its that simple just make sure its formatted for file compression and what have you so its more flexible with you're storage needs!

Will Aconis move programs and their associated files from one internal hard drive to another internal hard drive?
