Just thought I'd present a couple radical modding
ideas I saw a couple days ago. Sorry if these have
already been presented.
Here's an image of a Mobo in oil:

And here is a freezer rig.
Had been thinking of this one myself. I have a small fridge
that would be perfect for this. But it might be better to
just have a large water reservoir in there. What do you think?

water reservoir would be better i think, how r u going to prevent condensation in that fridge?

He heh .... probably will never do it ...was just a thought.
A water cooler might be better. Some modders have had
nice results from an office water cooler or drinking
fountain.
If I wanted to "Graduate" from air cooling, a Peltier would be
my first choice. No lines to run, only condensation would be
around the unit itself. No sweaty lines running everywhere.;)

hell yeah, those water fountain coolers are great for chilling water! dunno how much energy they consume though...
wouldnt it depend on how cold the fridge is for condensation troubles or are you gonna get it anyway?

I think that having the radiator in the fridge would yield better results than having a resevoir...I'm no expert (I haven't even built my own watercooling rig yet), but with any sort of medium to high flow rate system, the water would be moving through the res way too fast to cool down any substantial amount. Think about any time you've made iced tea or anything. It takes ages for it to cool down in the fridge, and that's when it is totally stagnant!
Of course, with a high air flow fan blowing over the refridgerator radiator, you have another slew of problems. Fridges are great for cooling the stagnant system, but I don't know how well they'd do with an active heat source within them...
This is all speculation, but unless you had more than a mini-fridge, I think the results would be disappointing...I'd be very interested in seeing it, though.
