2. Can’t have won within the past 90 days.



3. Team Research Inc. will be responsible for the shipping (worldwide) for the give away gifts, international contestants are welcomed.



4. As a condition of winning the winner has to be able to write a thank you letter to the manufacturer of the product. The letter will be posted on the front page of www.clanteamxtreme.com, www.XtremeSystems. We will also send a copy to the company that provided the prize.



5. All Flash Banners MUST Have TEAM or Team Xtreem logo somewhere in the banner or it will be disqualified. Your banner must be in .swf format and need to be 500 width x 127 height, or 160 width x 450 height. Please look at Team Groups website (http://www.teamresearchinc.com/) for guidance for colors, etc.....



6. Participants must submit the Flash banner design to contest@teamresearchinc.com with “TEAM banner competition” on the subject, and provide your full name and ship-to address before the due day. Due day = 3/27/2007 (2 weeks from start of competition on XS). Feel free to post on XS as well, but that’s completely up to the participant.



7. Team employees and [cTx] members will vote for the best design and TeamUSOffice or [cTx]sgt.viper will post the results on 4/3/2007 on the same thread where this competition was first announced.



8. ALL Team employees and [cTx] members are not qualified to enter this competition.



9. The winning banner will be posted on www.teamgroup.com.tw and [cTx]’s website. Designer’s name will also be posted with the banner unless the designer requested not to.



10. Team Research Inc. reserved the right to keep all banners created by the contestants.

As for why i would like to win so badly:

I come from a hardworking family and had my first job at the age of sixteen. Right now, I am saving up for college tuition and I am certain that I will NEED the money as I'm starting classes this summer. I spend virtually nothing and my social life partially suffers for it as I'm not able to go out and have lunch with my friends, or party or do any of the typical things a teenager normally does during their senior year. My parents, while financially well off are leaving me virtually nothing after a I graduate. As such, I have relatively little money to spend on my one true passion, computing, my current system will receive virtually no upgrades during the next 3-4 years. I plan for my system to last me through my college years, and additional memory will most certainly be a need in time, chances are with the cost of tuition, there will be NO budget for memory upgrades. From what I've seen on these forums, TeamGroup is one of the best memory manufacturers out there, and I would really like to have a set of their memory, looking back, I actually regret not opting towards going with TEAM when I was making my system, I jumped at another set because fo a rebate which has apparently no materialized. In all, I sincerely hope that my entry is taken into consideration when entered, and I can assure you that I will put a full hearted effort into it. Even if i'm not selected, I will let Team use it in any manner they so should please and I would be honored if they used it.

lets consider the facts

1 I'm certain TEAM Group is sponsoring this, they need to get something out of it
2 complaining that you can't do art is on the same level of those who are socially disadvantaged and cannot buy EXTREME hardware. Except you can practice and get better whereas if you're poor you're screwed
3 I'm relatively good at graphics.

if you don't like it, don't enter, don't complain, and don't put down cTx and TEAMgroup, they're going out of their way to do something good for the XS community and some people here are judging them. That isn't right.

Good one Xlink. Hey I hope you win. My only problem is that not everyone on this forum can do graphics work. So why have a contest on this forum that is all about graphics? It should have been something that EVERYONE can do. And ripcord not everyone has the time to learn flash. That is just ridiculous to say that.

Anyway I'm happy someone here will get some nice memory but I'm just unhappy that most people on this forum are excluded from the contest including myself. Thanks CTX and Team Xtreme for a cool contest I just wish it was a contest everyone could participate in.

to be honest, I've never really used flash(unless you count once on a K6 w/ 64mb RAM 7 years ago when I was 11), so I'm using adobe's relatively simplistic imageready software and using very basic animations. I'm not entirely adept at flash myself.

Out of curiousity, is there really anything that EVERYONE could do? No matter what the competition, there will always be disparities. Heck they could change the competition to "who can run the fastest mile" I while I'm a good runner, I'm sure a lot of people would laugh at me because the best I can do is around 6 minutes.

And there is more than one prize, so atleast two people will win.

also remember, the idea is for it to be a very clean banner, insane skill doesn't necessarily equate to good. A simple, well thoughtout design could probably win. I've seen some amazing things done in paint which in retrospect have required relatively little skill. Look around at other thigns for inspiration and go off that.

Just look back at some of the competitions XS has run. One of them was you had to go back into the forums archives and figure out something. Something like that everyone can do. Running 3dmark01 and getting as close to a certain score as possible. There are things that everyone can do. Hey I'm going to give this a shot but I know I'm not going to win. I definitely see what you mean but it is just disappointing to see the contest be advertised for a few weeks and then see how to win is something you can't do.

well I got everything this monday. Package had arrived on friday but I was not home to sign for it apparently and couldn't get to the post office until then.

the flash drive works wonderfully and is rather nice, very compact. Had one bad stick of RAM though and need to RMA the kit unfortunately.

still will be posting a review on the RAM once I get everything RMAed

will post pictures soon.
