do amd north bridges get hotter than intel. it just seems that intel guys dont realy use heavyduty nb coolers.

nforce2 get quite hot.. but you're right.. cw/sd don't get quite as hot before u reach 300fsb

maybe something about hypertransport.. 800MB/s is quite a bit

smaller process size on the intel chipsets = less heat

The AMD Northbridge in this KG7 gets pretty warm.

AMD 761 Northbridge & VIA 686B Southbridge. :rolleyes:
