It IS possible, just use strips and all, it'll look weird but it works :)

Why not to use epoxy?

manoj its probably too weak. and the performance of epoxy is way worse than AS3+pressure.

Then what to do.
I have ordered a Waterchill from Astek for my Vapochill PE case.
I wanted to water cool the Northbridge and also the Radeon 9800 Pro GPU.
Any suggestions on how to install the chipset block on the Northbridge for IC7-G.

Use a zalman NB heatsink... its not watercooled but it seems to help. Check the Abit intel board forum over at OC.com for more info... you just have to cut three pins off each side and the ring fits around it...

won't this severly limit his overclock? the northbridge will get pretty hot

no you can still use the fan it fits right over top... the peeps at OC.com said it helped their overclock!

I had this set up figured out to mount a MCW50 on the nb, but ended up using AS3 epoxy instead. The mount got in the way of my R9800pro ramsinks.
BTW
AS3 epoxy Thermal conductivity: >7.5 W/mK
regular AS3 Thermal conductivity: >9.0 W/mK.
Artic Alumina Thermal conductivity: >4.0 W/mK
So AS3 Epoxy aint too shabby ! still better than most thermal compounds on the market.
wut on the mount was getting in the way of the ramsinks? epoxy is kinda permenent..
good mounthing idea. :toast:
