Finally after a large setback I have been able to properly join the phase-change user club

Now time to overclock....I mean, there isn't any other reason to cool you rig than to overclock it right?

Erh... 3 GHz primestable at phase change :) ?

Well done, but wrong direction with the Vcore... :D

Show us higher numbers with more Vcore :P

Any details about the unit?

Thats a serious oc you got going there. World records are going to topple.

Just kidding though, you've got a good board and cpu for phase.
You should definately be hitting 4ghz and up soon enough.

The unit is using R290 and Danfoss NF11L with a Kayl block.

As for the overclock. I have no idea about this CPU, Vcore settings etc. So I'm taking it slow.

Well 1.5 volts should get you 4GHz easy, set ram 1:1 and push 2.1 volts through them, run 5-5-5-15 timings to start, and start ramping up the FSB. Might need to give the other voltage settings a small tweak. Get atleast 4GHz out of that sucker, anything less is a shame for a phase cooled chip :p:

Heh, taking it slow should start at 3.6 GHz or so with a 6600 then work your way up.

Set it at 3.6GHz/1.45vcore and increase CPU clocks until unstable with 1.45v. Then tick up your volts to whatever level you are comfortable with and is stable as you further increase CPU overclock.

Nice to see you've joined in on the fun :D
Do you have a probe on the evap measuring temps?
Do you have your own gauges? I might be able to help you out getting some R404a or R507a in that puppy if/when ya want. ;)

EDIT: Most E6600's will do nearly 4Ghz 1.5ish volts on air :O

The MB is fine, I've got a fan on my NB aswell. You can not expect it to cope with massive voltages and FSB speeds without additional cooling.

That picture of 3.6 crashes shortly after......before i cooled the NB
