My turn:

Relevant Configuration:
I have the BIOS shipped with my mobo. I have a Corsair TWINX-2 DDR2-800 PC6400 C4 2GB (1GB x 2), and a Sapphire X1550.

Problem:
Windows XP (Latest UE version) freezes in 4 or five hours. Just i'm working and bam!, only the mouse is controllable.

Solution:
I upgraded BIOS to 901 (latest estable) and problem solved! I will apply Memtest86, and Orthos a 12 hours... (fsb stock, stock cooling)

Woohoo, getting in on the ground floor of this thread!

Just picked one up yesterday. So far I am quite pleased.

Is it ok to use drivers from nvidia on this mb? I heard it's a bad idea.

Also, any good tutorials on memory timings/subtimings for this mb?

I've seen eva2000's post, but his timings are a bit tight for me. lol

I'm looking. I think that in the next week i will complete the thread.

About the nv drivers, they're 680i drivers! It won't melt if you use official drivers.

yeh, but read that since the Striker is a modified from the reference board that using drivers from nVidia's website causes freezes and bluescreens.

Caution: Do NOT use the nVidia ethernet drivers in Vista.
Use the MSFT ones.

If i were you i'd either use the 0402 bios or 1002 bios. Those 2 are the best IMO.

As for drivers I just use the asus drivers and have no problems. I used all of the beta drivers.

I can't say much about vista tho. I don't plan on moving 2 vista till at least the first SP comes out.
