XSOS v2 *is* *NOT* warez edited by IFMU

Well, I checked very easy check how to prove v2 was warez - even though it hasn't been oficially said here by admins of the side.
Also, I know this will mean my account is going to be banned, and post probably deleted - but I did mail admins of site, and after week of no replies (except 'we'll look into it') - they proved nothing, nor gave any evidence it is nothing beyond warez.

As one (there are zillions) of easy proofs, I'll c&p my post I sent to admins of site:
Since so many thread have been locked regarding XSOS discussions, and many people claiming it's warez, I will give you simple proof it's warez - and as such I do expect Admins of this site to give some statement regarding it - since you claim you do not endorse such things (warez, illegal stuff, etc).

So, how to prove for v2 - which is *not* marked here as warez?

Get XSOS v2 .iso
Extract that .iso, and to go I386 directory

First of all - structure and files resemble QUITE a lot (not to say are 'the same') as W2K files, don't they?

Ok... next rename ntoskrnl.EX_ to ntoskrnl.cab
Open it with winrar (as that file IS .cab file) and extract file to filesystem - file ntoskrnl.exe

Now, you can already spot 'some' similarities with Microsoft Windows.
But, let's continue: in my case I used Linux due to easy command called 'strings' - which extract ASCII stuff from files:
strings ntoskrnl.exe | grep -i Microsoft

That command yields:
MICROSOFT (R) WINDOWS 2000 (TM)
Microsoft (R) Windows 2000 (R) Version %hs (Build %u%hs)

Which proves it *is* Windows2000, and that *IS* warez.

You can compare even more stuff, and you will get same result.

As such, I - and rest of people - expect official statement from Admins of site regarding this issue.

Do not get me wrong... I would more than anything like to have non-Microsoft OS that can run all windows based games/applications - but based on warez and breaking so many copyright laws is not the way.

As for V3 all I can say it will be same thing, as it is not humanly possible to write OS 'from scratch' within few months - nor is possible to get a contract from Microsoft for DX10, nonetheless from some 'dude' who they never heard of.

Umm NN_Step stated V2 was based off of WIN2K

AS V1 was a spin off of XP and another off of 2K3.

Different versions for different purposes and the only "catch" was that you owned a legit copy of Windows from 3.1 to XP Pro.

So............? If you had read the original threads you woudl have known that.

V3 is something or so its been inferred is something completely different.

SO many of you nay sayers are so far behind the curve, you might as well not bother.

There is no "SCAM", Cheat etc.

You HAVE TO OWN A COPY OF LEGIT WINDOWS in order to be a BETA, and or have and use XSOS.

Well that is my understanding anyway.

I have three copies of legit 98SE, not even opened, so...............I would assume that I would qualify :-P.

im not trying to cause trouble but why did you say that it was on a non windows base when its Windows 2000? you are saying XSOS 3.0 is not on a windows base just like you did with this one (XSOS 2.0) so whats the deal? is it on a windows base or not?

please have a nice day and also realize that what you are attempting to do, benefits no one. This isn't for fame, money, or anything tangible. I do this to benefit the people here who want something fast, light and clean. If you would prefer, feel free to go on believing what ever you desire regardless of fact or truth.

We all know your intentions, but for most people hearing that MS of all people allowed you to take a huge portion of their software to somehow write your own OS is preposterous. You claim they are allowing you to do it so you should be able to prove it pretty easily... That would settle all the negativity. Having tons of software people thinking XS supports warez certainly isn't a good idea.

WE, as in XS Staff have gotten the proof, and no, it will not be shown to you just because you think it is.

Accept it.
Acknowledge it.
Move On.
