Has anyone used a ABIT IS-7 with a 2.4C? I havn't board owned an Intel sence I sold my Dual P3 700@819 and had a couple questions if anyone could help me out? I just need an upgrade until September.

1. Is that board anygood or is there a better one for cheap?

2.Are the new 800Mhz bus P4's faster in windows then the older P4's? I'v built a lot of 2A, 2.4Ghz, and 2.53Ghz (SiS or Intel cheapset) computers for resell at work and thay just didn't seem as responsive and fast running using Windows XP, but thay run programs and games great.

3.I was hoping for 3.3Ghz at least, but I want to hit 3.5Ghz. is this about right? Its looking like the FSB mixed with a low multiplyer is going to be what stops me.

4. how much voltage can I feed into the CPU to get my 6 months out of it?

5. On newegg it list a 2.4Ghz 800Mhz bus OEM Version and a 2.4CGhz for the Retail version, Do I need the one that says "C" on it or are thay both a C.

If anyone could answer a couple here I would really apre, apre-she, apre-she-ate  it (sounds about right, can I get s spell cheack up in here? :D )

btw, all p4's with the 800 mhz FSB are the C version... so on newegg youd be safe with either. but the retail comes with a heatsink/fan combo and a warranty... the OEM comes in a white box with nothing but the proc!

one more thing, im not too sure about the 6 mos.... but thats not a very long time so im sure you would be perfectly safe at 1.7 or 1.75 volts!
