Well, I tried to install Vista Business to no avail. It keeps giving me a BSOD saying my HDD/HDD controller isnt right or something. Its a functional drive, already formatted to NTFS and i tried to install it on the primary partition. I removed that HDD and it will not let me get into windows without having to choose setup or 'earlier version'. If I hit nothing it attempts to load Vista and BSODs on me. Not to mention, I have to hit the up/down arrow as it boots otherwise it switches instatly to the vista setup.

My questions are this:

1. How do you get the PC from going out of Windows setup and just into the 'earlier version of windows'? I have went in to control panel-->system-->advanced-->startup and recovery (settings)-->edit. Its not there. There is only the XP option. The HDD I failed to install it onisnt even in the PC, the partition on my RAID setup isnt there anymore and i deleted my data.

2. Why am I getting these BSOD errors? I have tried it on my RAID array on another partition (logical) and it does the same thing, loads all files, expands them, reboots, and BAM BSOD after that green loading bar comes up.

Thanks!

Is your vista disk definatley good?

As for your boot order problems, can you just edit boot.ini so that things are the right way around so you boot where you want to without pressing anything.

Sorry I cant be of more help but my vista came pre-installd on my laptop.
