It's RIVA 2 - It doesn't read below -64*C.....In your case it might be the VGA's bios that don't let RIVA to read it.... ;)
and drivers Futurmark approved 97.92:)

I dodn't know Vince.......I think for the first time in my life of LN2 benching, I see SO STABLE "well buffered" temps......I have to say that my VGPU is 1.8Volts....
I start the bench at -122*C, pooring LN2 in, and I'm from -125*C to -121*C till the end of the bench.....As MUCH LN2 as I poor in (till it fills all), it keeps it's temp STABLE.....
"Bad" LN2 containers for sure my friend......

Look at it this way: Cooler PSU -> More stable voltages -> Less Voltage required for running high clocks -> Cooler VGA temps -> Less LN2 to run the cards!
So overall, it would result in higher clocks, with less voltage, and less chance to kill HW! Wow, I'm brilliant :D lol....

One is main.....Second is only for fans.....The other two for the VGA's are OK....
I've tested about other 4 with no luck......They didn't start without drawing currents and one Forton, shuted down from overcurrent protection while the VGA was under full load....
I wonder how much power would a quad at 5ghz ~1.8V (or how much you need?) + 2x 1Ghz cards each at 1.8V would draw :D

Some PSU's have a build in compensation for unloaded voltrails to prevent the PSU from malfunctioning, atleast that's what I've been told :)
EDIT: and you can mod your PSU to propper work while unloaded.

He can't run behind us, Greece is located more to the east compared to Belgium. Now if you keep in mind that "The sun always comes up in the east", you know that people in the east will see the sun appaering earlier than us Belgians, so they are in front of us. Hello there guys....:)
My first run of SLI went under disaster.... :(
I have tested before the one VGA and I knew what it wanted for VGPU and VGDDR and I was OK as for this part....
The other VGA wasn't tested well due to luck of LN2 so we came to "yesterday"..... :(
BOTH couldn't bench at 974MHz core.... :( OR - to be more specific - to understand that the second VGA wanted LESS VGPU to work that high, it took me all of my LN2...... :(
Nothing good for the time been.....
After the big disappointment and left with few LN2, I dry them out and switched mobos.....
I placed my X6800 onto ABIT AW9D-MAX one and benched Aquamark with the first VGA that I knew its reactions.....
It was a bit easy I could say to bench her at 974/1244MHz but I preferred to bench her at 974/1215MHz to be sure....
I took this score which satisfied me for the time been.... :)

NEXT time I know what to do though, how high and with what voltages I'll play.... The frequencies will be 974MHz core and 1244MHz rams.....One VGA to do so, needs 1.74VGPU and the other one 1.69VCore....except the 2k1 where the first needs 1.79VGPU and the second 1.75VGPU as for the Nature bench.....
....and Vince, EVEN at 5310MHz on 2k5, there is NO WAY to reach 115 marks on GT1....;)

It could do on ABIT IN9 5310MHz easy.......Some tests I did at 5410MHz, could be done IF I'm "focused" on the CPU temp so as to control it.....To do so, VGAs MUST be under 2 x cascades, not to have to take care of them too.....:)

Man...I figured something didnt go right :( , at least you got the am3 multi gpu score out of it. Benching 3 units is a nightmare when everything isn't running perfectly, you end up burning through all your ln2 with not alot to show for it :(. I have been there a million times as for every good ln2 3d session, there is one awful one for me. I will test every piece of HW seperately as to know what it can do, than when you get it all together one or two components doesn't want to play nice....really sucks.
....and Vince, EVEN at 5310MHz on 2k5, there is NO WAY to reach 115 marks on GT1....

Benching 3 units is a biatch isn't it? :D

Sorry to hear, but same happened here in our last LN2 QX6700 + 8800 GTX SLI session, the problem was CPU. When we finally managed to run it at 4511 MHz (still poor clocks) and installed 8800 GTX SLI, CPU didn't work with high clocks anymore. And CPU + 2 x VGA consumes quite alot LN2. I'll also do some testing after Cebit but VGA clocks are not currently as impressive as yours (865/1165) :)

Yes you just can't do as you have planned......On 975 and ATI's were different though.......You knew were your CPU goes, were your (each) VGA goes and combined them all together, you were ready....With this i680 chipset, things are crazy.......I don't know....!....

Good score hipro , hopefully you got better luck next time
Some tests I did at 5410MHz, could be done IF I'm "focused" on the CPU temp so as to control it.....To do so, VGAs MUST be under 2 x cascades
that means that you will run AM3 dual cards under cascade for higher CPU clock

Great work! Maybe the reason why memclock lowered with 1000+ GPU and bad results with SLI is PSU? That qc cpu took awesome wattage. which PSU do you use? And I see that you attached GTX'es with 4 wire connector. I would try to use PSU with 4 independent PCI-E cords ;).

He, he, he......Thanks......but just testing and not tweaked yet....:D ;)
I can finaly bench this ABIT IN9 at 5405MHz with my X6800;)
BIG problem though is the QUAD CPU....I tested at 5200MHz on it BUT with 2 cores at 5200MHz and 2 cores at 4000MHz - x13multi for two cores and x 10 multi for other two - .....ABIT bios is not ready yet to overclock 4 x cores together and it leaves the 2 cores at x10 multi and the other two at the multi we have picked.....:(
CPU score was about 6200 points and I loose about 800 - 1000 marks on 2k6 from that.....TOO MUCH....:(
I could gain them - well not all of them - by the VGAs at 975MHz / 1215MHz BUT I whould be almost at the edge of the score....:(
I think I'll get an EVGA mobo to bench the 2k6 benchmark coz I HAVE to bench any time soon and ABIT's bios engineers are not taking care of the QUAD CPUs and their overclocking.....:(
Are the EVGAs mobos good or should I go back to the ASUS Striker one - that I do not want to, due to bad memories of it - ?.....
I ALSO have tested 2 x 1GB rams with the Micron GKX chips....
Observations:
At 1:1 with Cas 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 1T - 1 - 17 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us and about 415MHz, CAN'T BE TOUCHED as for 3Ds from playing Unlinked with the same fsb and Rams at 622MHz and Cas 4 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 2T - 1 - 21 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us.....The rams that I've tested, are the Team Group 1200s....
In 2k1, 2k3, 2k5, the Corsair 8000UL Fatbodies at 415MHz with Cas 3 - 2 - 2 - 3 - 1T - 8 - 21 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us, are the WINNERS.....;)
Example: Lobby High at 3600MHz and rams at 400MHz (fsb too):
Fatbodies = 380 marks
Team Group = 364.5 marks
4 x 1GB Rams (2 x 1GB Team Group and 2 x 1GB CellShocks) at 400MHz with Cas 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 1T - 1 - 21 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us = 362.5marks
ALSO TRC = 1 and TRC = 8 might be the EXACT same thing.....I think that TRC = 1 is ONLY for the "eyes" and nothing more....It "seems" to stress a bit the i680 BUT in real, does nothing......Could someone test it as for Super-Pi too?....
Thought I'll do more testing...;)
Thanks for proving that fatties are faster than 2X1GB 600MHZ 4-3-3-4 :D anyway looking @ your 80K run the GT2 , GT3 bug still there. i thought that this problem was solved (sorry for the bad photoshop skills :( )

Thanks for proving that fatties are faster than 2X1GB 600MHZ 4-3-3-4 :D anyway looking @ your 80K run the GT2 , GT3 bug still there. i thought that this problem was solved (sorry for the bad photoshop skills :( )
Fatties CAN'T be touched on i680.......I've tested ALL combinations on it....with Rams and frequencies and timmings and subtimmings etc.....Fatbodies can't be touched.....and don't start telling me that high frequency rams doing better, coz I've been there, I've done it....;)
The BEST though, it whould be 4 x 512MB Fatbodies.....I'll test it this week if my fourth module can follow....;)
......and YES as I described my 2k3 score was not good coz it was a fast bench (out of LN2)......You have to reboot - bench - reboot - bench - till the 2k3 "gives" you the BEST score......;)
1GB vs 2GB may be hurting in those tests, hipro have you tested that?
NOPE......I have tested EVERYTHING..... ;)
I have tested:
2 x 512MB Corsair 8000UL Fatbodies at 1:1 and Cas 3 - 2 - 2 - 3 - 1T - 8 - 21 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us
2 x 1GB Team Group 1200 GKX at 1:1 and Cas 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 1T - 1(or 8) - 17 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us
2 x 1GB Team Group 1200 GKX at 621MHz (1242MHz DDR) and Cas 4 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 2T - 1(or 8) - 21 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us
4 x 1GB - 2 x 1GB Team Group + 2 x 1GB CellShock GKX at 1:1 and Cas 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 1T - 1 (or 8) - 21 - 2 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us
4 x 1GB - 2 x 1GB Team Group + 2 x 1GB CellShock GKX at 600MHz and Cas 4 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 2T - 1 (or 8) - 21 - 2 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us
Tell me what more do you want me to test and I'll do it......I can test whatever you wish......;) :)
I WANT to test 4 x 512MB Fatbodies but I have 3 modules that can do high and I'm searching for a fourth one..... :( ......I think that this combination whould be the BEST..... :(
Excuse hipro I don't understand, you support that mem in 1:1 at Cas 3 - 2 - 2 - 3 - 1T - 8 - 21 - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us are better than mem unlinked at 622Mhz?? or do you play all mem at 400Mhz with various timing??
soo...I quote kemo6600...there are problem with run the GT2 , GT3
Yes, rams (Fatbodies) at 415MHz at 1:1 with the timmings you quoted above, are faster than rams at 622MHz and Cas 4 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 2T - 1 (or 8) - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us.....
ALSO GKXs at 1:1 and Cas 3 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 1T - 1 (or 8) - 17(or 19) - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us are FASTER than Rams (Unlinked) at 622MHz with Cas 4 - 3 - 3 - 4 - 2T - 1 (or 8) - 1 - 6 - 2 - 7.8us......As for 3D ......Super-Pi I don't know coz I haven't tested yet on the i680 chipset - though some time I'll give it a try........;)

fatbodies are very impressive :D , gives d9gmh and gkx a good run :p:
what memory straps did you use apart from 1:1...? 2:3? 3:5? 4:5?
and did you test your fatbodies over 600mhz? let's say comparing them at 6xxmhz vs 4xxmhz...
and did you test 4-2-3-4 4:5 with your fatbodies? it's faster then 3-2-2-* or 3-2-3 1:1 at the same bus speed...:p:

For the Fatbodies I use the 533 Strap within bios.......For all the others, I use 1066 Strap.....:)
No I didn't tested my Faties at 600MHz comparing to others....
4 - 2 - 2 - x is a bit slower than 3 - 2 - 2 - x .....Propably due to some internal latency changings of the i680 chipset when picking the 4 instead of the 3 .... ;)
I'll do some more tests though coz I want to be well prepared for my 3Ds.... ;)

[B]Fatties CAN'T be touched on i680.......
Seems that way to me too.....Albeit it was a little while ago and I just tested at 1m, but result after result from my 2x512mb Fatties were shockingly similar to runs @ the same clockspeed but higher memory speeds using 2x1gb GMH on the 680i. Here's a little example of what I'm talking about:
2x512mb @ 450 4-3-2-4-1-10-22-2-7-2-7.8

2x1gb @ 600 4-3-3-4-2-1-20-2-6-2-7.8

It was quite crazy how my $65 kit of Crucial Fatties bought off Ebay at least a year ago was consistently keeping up with a pair of VERY HANDPICKED Team GMH's which cost a "bit" more than $65  :D
Hehehe George...it seems as if Victor's runs have gotten into your head abit :p:

hipro, in my tests Asus Striker Extreme performed better than EVGA's nForce 680i SLI mobo, although EVGA's motherboard seemed to be more problem free.

Looking at you 1m time Stephen, I didnt think 680i would be that much slower than X975. I get 12.866 using Win 2k3 and a single 1Gb stick of GSkill HZ 800 at 445Mhz 4 4 3 8 8T 19 6 8 8 4 4 4.
How much of a difference does it make by using quality ram and tight timings compared to "normal" stuff with moderate timings for 3D benching?
I make some quick test using 03, but the difference was negligible.

Wait, so are you saying that my 1m time was unusually slow? or unusually fast :p: ? I thought it was about average....
In terms of chipsets, I can't say that I'm qualified enough to give you a thorough answer. And asking about 3d benching IN ADDITION to Intel chipsets makes it about as foreign of a subject to me as possibly could be :p: . To the best of my understanding, the 975 chipset is in fact the fastest CLOCK FOR CLOCK, but the problem is actually achieving high enough clocks in order to take down WR's. The 965 boards seem to be a bit slower than the 975's but they're able to make up the stagger through higher FSB and memory speeds. Now the 680i is kind of an oddity as it's able to achieve somewhat high clocks and memory speeds @ extraordinarily tight timings on the RAM. For that reason, I tend to believe that the internal timings for that particular chipset are set rather loose - thereby making tighter primary RAM timings a reality. As a result, the difference between running, for example, TRP4 vs. TRP3 becomes basically negligible. Now mind you, I'm not particularly well versed in the world of C2D + 3d benching so I could possibly be totally off base with my observations......;)

from what i've seen and tested i think you're spot on steve
i like that comparison with fatty vs. D9GMH
whatever happened to the idea that clock for clock at same timings fattys are supposed to run slower than newer ICs.........unless they are meant to work at really tight timings heheh

hipro have you ever tested a 2x1gb set of fatties? Or do they just not clock as well?

Mmm...I think that the striker is also better than in9 in the management of the 3d

A moded IN9 IS way better......;)
Before, I used to work with the Striker and no thanks, I won't do it again....I'll go with the EVGA for the QUAD CPU...:)
hipro have you ever tested a 2x1gb set of fatties? Or do they just not clock as well?
No they don't clock that well coz "big" companies used to build only 512MB modules... :( I had tested 1GB modules from Micron builds with no good luck at Cas 3-2-2-x....
So I think that the best choise will be 4 x 512MB modules.....;)
hipro5 how is the testing going? give an update...:p:
