Well I have swapped my connect3d 9800p for the new hercules offering....

I did not want that nice copper HSF w/blue led to go to waste (I have a swifty MCW50 with a 172w pelt)
So I modified it to fit on to my NB on the Abit...

Here is a pic...

I also managed to utilise the rear Heatsink that comes with the herc I am using it to hold down some neo. rubba (for condensation)

Looks pretty cool huh :D

Well, it is a good story actually...

I had pre-ordered this herc direct from Hercules in april, they were not moving as fast as I liked so I cancelled it....

Well low and behold I get an E-mail the other day saying your card has been shipped...

I thought I would decline it till I noticed that it was still at the original pre order price of $399... add on to that shipping of $60 some odd.... for a total of £282 in uk money

It still works out as being £82 cheaper then if I would have gotten it in the UK (retail herc in UK is @ £360+)

So I picked up a nice little deal....

I have had it up to 519 core 380 mem so far ( this is w/o and volt mods)... so it is not too bad ;)

Output: 12Volts, 25Amps Switching PSU

Got me the same Hercules last saturday. Looks really nice with those copper ramsinks.
I was able to test it before I bought it.
I can bench at 450/392 w/o any mods, so that isn't to bad. At 398 mem, I get some artifacts.
The HS makes pretty good contact with the GPU, better than the 9700PRO did.
The copper heatsink on the backside of the GPU gets freaking hot, I placed a quiet 80mm Papst on it.

I have also gone from the Connect3D 9800Pto the Hercules.
Running with straight watercooling, MCW50, and going up slowly.
Currently at 470/370....no mods.

I tried ordering one from the Hercules web site about 2 weeks ago, but they had no stock and couldn't tell me when or if it would ship (via email's). So I grabbed a VisionTek 9800 Pro 256 MB version and really like it so far...but needs a pelt. Thank God June and vacation time is coming up soon.
