View Full Version : CH5 or twinmos 3700 for P4C + 2.8 + mach2?
As the title says, getting a P4C, 2.8c and mach2, I already have some xms3500 but I can sell that and get either of those twinmos.
ive seen a couple of people running on canterwoods with the twinmos 3700 at over 250fsb 1:1 so I may try that unless the CH5 is better? my guess is it isnt.

Speaking only from what I have read...not my own experience, the Twinmoss 3700 would be best for Intel and the CH-5 for AMD. I think the Twinmoss has 4.5 ns chips and lots of bandwidth at relaxed timings.

no im STILL waiting for the useless shops in this country to get them.
i just ordered 2x256mb twinmos 3700. this is gonna arrive before i get any of my P4 stuff so ill test it out in my crappy NF7-S anyway but i wont take much notice of the results.

3700 usually gets to higher frequencies but only at relaxed timings. in fact it will hardly do DDR400 at 2-2-2-5 which BH-5 does. easily.
however, dont go easy on the VDIMM !!
juice it up and you'll get good results.
im gonna do the vdimm mod when i get my P4C which might be tonite.

Yeah i got mine yesterday :D from www.cpucity.co.uk preety fast huh ;)
Having a few probs with the windows monitoring system tho i.e XP is not liking it and it dont work but a minor detail im sure.

my thoughs exactly, they dont even list the mach2 STILL and whats more it says the originals are out of stock and its said this for 3 weeks.
*edit* just phoned cpucity, they have some in stock but they all pre-sold, they will be getting more in 3-4 weeks!!! i dont know how they are pre-sold cos i been looking on their website for weeks and even emailed 2 weeks ago and they said they would have them last week, so i kept looking at the website and saw nothing.
i ordered me a 2.8c malay (packdate 13th may so hopefully quite new) and P4C so ill just use em with me SLK900 until i can get hold of a mach2.
