I either fried my mobo, cpu, or both, and I fried this other cpu when trying to find out whether or not it was the mobo that was dead or not... anyway, that's a long story. most of you have prob already read it...

anyway, I've got questions about getting a 2500+ Barton like what is the best stepping/date-code/model, etc, and if it's possible to ask excaliberpc for that certain stepping, etc.

and well, that's about it. gotta get some sleep. good night:am: (for breaking so much)

well, nevermind, I've looked at some posts... it looks pretty good. how do you think it would do with an 8RGA+? do you think it'll prob run stable at around 200fsb at somewhere around 2400-2500mhz? or should I expect more like 2300mhz? on air, an slk-800(A) with a smart case fan II

I just depends on how lucky you are. Mine did 2,3 ghz out of the box, and afther some burn-in 2,4 and a bit. Most people get around 2,3~2,4 on air. But i would suggest to be very carefull this time!:) Maybe you have some friends around there with some experience who would like to help? You realy don't won't to mess another cpu! Just my 2 cents:)

yeah, my sister and her family are coming in from Russia (they're missionaries). my brother-in-law's built at least one pc before... I built this computer I'm on right now. used arctic silver III, too... so, I don't know what the prob is. anyway, I think I can do it if I'm careful. thanks though!!
