P5WDH vs D975XBX2 for e6600?
Well I have narrowed the choice down to these two boards and realize that the BadAx2 is cheaper but that is not an issue. I will be using a e6600 over-clocked to hopefully 3.6Ghz on water. I have always used ASUS boards and have had very good luck with them including my P5WD2 that I currently use. The reviews on the BadAx2 look great and the board has a nice three year warranty. So far I have spent more time researching and trying to decide on this next motherboard then any that I have ever bought.
Which board would you choose for most features and ease of over-clock and still be rock stable? At the moment I have Corsair 2x1Gb 5400c DDR2-667 ram and will be upgrading soon to better ram. You're comments and thought will be appreciated.

The P5W should be the better overclocker although the Bad Axe 2 has some really nice features and addons.
I have the P5W with an e6600 @ 3.6 right now. great board. nothing much else to say.

both good boards from what ive read. however, less people seem to own the BadAxe2. so if you need in-depth info on it, its harder to find.

I just had my P5WDH die last night. It no longer boots and when it does it has all this wierd graphics corruption then when it hits windows just shuts down.
I thought it might have been the memory/cpu/graphics card, but I replaced them all in another motherboard and everything worked fine. I did change the thermal compound on the northbridge so even though it has a 3 year warranty i'm sure that voided it but defineatley was no responsible for it dying lol.
i'd go with the Badaxe2. That is what my next board is gonna be.

My vote is for the bad axe 2 (I just bought one and will get it soon). I choose the Bad Axe 2 because it "seems" like this is the board with the less vdroop. Of course there is also known to be the "rock stable" board.

My P5WDH will automatically turn on by itself once a day. So i am going to switch over to DS3 or P5B.

Probably just a "wake on event" set to on in BIOS. My DS3 do this on default settings, if the phone ring, my computer start! :p: I don't know P5WDH BIOS option, but look in power management. (may be wake on lan too)
