Hi all.
I'm thinking about upgrading my WC setup to a Tec one.
I found a MCW50-T cheap, so ill take it for my video card.
Now for my questions:
1) Will a BIP3 be enough for a dual-tec loop?
2) How should I set the loop? (parallel, maybe?)
3) Can you reccomend me a cheap tec cpu block? Is it possible to find any for 50-60$?
4) Is mounting tecs on a apogee gt possible?

Cheers,

1) Most likely not, you need something a bit more robust and the BIP3 is rated for quieter smaller fans. Something like a BIX3 and larger fans is in order.
2) Always series imo
3) Not really, depending on your cpu your going to need a 320watt/226movement tec. This can be found commercially without modification in the new swiftech 6500.
4) Not really. The inside surface area is not large enough and too restrictive for cooling a peltier, plus mounting a coldplate would be very difficult.

1) What if I only used the BIP3 to cool the 80W Tec that comes with the MCW50-T?
2) Wont the second tec\block in line get very warm then?

Thank you for your time :toast:

1) Yeah thats no problem, if the 80 watt is good enough for your gpu though...
2) A bit warmer yes, unless your radiator is properly sized. Might find that at idle your getting warm air off the radiator, that means its time to get more cooling.

I'm currently using an x1300pro, Will upgrade to a 8600 when it's released. Guess 80W will be enough?

Does the MCW50-T support G80\G80 adapter plate?
