Sure, all I did is clicked on the start well on Windows Vista theres no more start so I clicked on the Windows Vista logo at the bottom left of the screen. Then I click on my avatar picture which opens up user accounts, you should see it there, you get 6 diffrent options the very last one called Turn User Account Control on or off.

I spent some time with my new Vista install yesterday, and with a few settings changes and other little changes you can make Vista look exactly like older versions of Windows, just depends if you want the aero functionality or not.

The best thing about Vista is UAC and you disable it, how long will it take before you cry "VISTA WAS NOT MORE SECURE THAN XP"? Well, DUH, you turn off security and anyone can come and go as they please, it's like buying a home alarm system and removing the power to it forever, then complaining about it when some thug breaks into your house. Without UAC enabled Vista is MORE vulnerable than XP ever was, why? Because it has a veritable fvckload of services running as server.

DON'T turn it off, learn to live with the fact that system wide installs should require your direct permission instead, you only do them once, right? Are you really so lazy that clicking YES to a question is too much work?

Personally i would have preferred if it asked for the root password and installed everything on a user level by default but programmers and users just can't wait to screw up their brand new Vista box.

I turned off UAC because I was having alot of graphic corruptions due to Nvidia drivers but that should be fix on there upcoming drivers so I will enable it once its fixed.
