SUPREME COMMANDER RELEASED! Dose C&C still stand a chance?

Well Supreme Commander came out today and so far i have heard good things about it the worst review it got was 7.0 which is obvious that rewier had no idea how to play the game he did not play online and did not take his time playing the game, rest of the ratings were 9.0s or 8.7s, 8.8s no lower than that; well what do you guys think about it.

I have not played the retail version YET, but i heard from people that the retail version is way better than the Demo and the beta the retail is more polished memmory leaks have been improved a lot still thiers lag but much less, still needs some polishing, some patches and it should be good to go.

But anyway Soon the C&C3 Demo will be out and i can finally see which game will be better but from what i have been hearing C&C3 stands no chance against Supreme Commander they said it still will be a good game but Supreme Commander will be better, and that C&C3 will be most likely a remake of the older C&C games with new graphics and some new, but thats what they think, i now actually do think Supreme Commander is going to be better just because i cannot play without the zoom in and out yet that dose not mean anything even tho i think Supreme Commander will be better, a C&C game is a C&C game and nothing can replace that type of gameplay and fun cannot be found else where.

But what game do you guys think will have more people playing online? what game will sell more?( i think C&C3 will sell more just because it has more fans, and even more fanboys), what game do you guys think will be better? and what game will riegn supreme?

I plan on buying both. Supreme commander looks like the story line will be weak vers C&C but I think both will be good fun.

Supreme Commander is one of the most lag fest games iv ever played. The game is good but the lag is terrible. Therefor i am gonna vote for C@C 3, iv been waiting for C@C 3 for years and years ever since the day of Tiberium Sun and Firestorm.

I for one am loving SupCom right now. I'm only like 3 missions in, but I've already hit the unit max on two of them:p: . This game is friggin sweet, but even at 3.2ghz, my 6400 struggles to keep frame rate up with my 7900 when the big battles go down. And I'm talking about 300vs.300unit fights. The rest runs great. So, I'll stick with SupCom until the C&C3 demo comes out, then I'll make my decision for sure.

i use to be excited about C&C3. but after reading all about it i realized its nothing but a cookie cutter copy of generals.

im still going to try it out but im not getting my hopes up :(

I was actually unimpressed with SupCom even though I antipated it to be a lot better than it is... I thought we were finally going to see tens of thousands of units in an RTS game as in real life, I soon realised that the game is still only DX9 though...

Supreme commander demo was one of the worst games I've ever touched, hopefully C&C3 will be better.

^^lol. Sup is great, even though I was anticipating more from the final version. Who knows which will be better, no one has a clue as to what C&C3 gameplay will be like. My bet is that they will both be good games when held up next to each other, and undoubted this is due to the fact that they are very different from each other. I think replay value is gonna be the winner here, and which ever gives more kudos to the mod community will probably win here. Sup is finally getting boring to me, and nit picking my build order to get a few minutes ahead so I can demolish my opponent a few mere moments before he demolishes me...well, this can get very trying. I think mods and expansions are what will make both these games shine. Can't wait!

PS...But I myself have voted for Sup Com, just because it's much better than the last C&C, and this is the only way I feel I can judge the upcoming C&C. Hope I'm proved wrong, nothing I love more (well...) than a better product!

cant rly see how you can compaire SUpcom and C&C3.

yeah they both r real time strat games but thats it they are 2 completely diffrent kinds of strat games.

its like C&C is more arcade and SupCom is more simulation (i know it aint a simulation but i hope people see what i mean).

i myself am also one of the people a lil dissapointed by SupCom and when C&C3 comes there will also be people that are dissapointed by it etc.

cant vote for any of them as C&C3 aint out and they r to diffrent.

I don't care if C&C3 turns out to be a really bad game, im a HUGE fan of the story. And best of all... Kane is back! bigger badder and better!!!

Although PCgamer gave it a 90% rating. They gave generals a ~60% rating if remember correctly and I hated generals.

Well, in my opinion C&C3 Tiberian Sun was one of the best games I've ever played ^^ That's why I'm really looking forward to the release of C&C3 Tiberian Wars :)
Supreme Commander is nice too with its mass battles, but I dislike the sterile maps.
