I just completed my first build. I have a Bad Axe 2 mobo, and two Sata HDDs NOT in Raid. When I start up the computer, I get a message indicating "Adapter 1 - no array is defined, no disks detected. Then it says "initializing and establishing link." After a minute of so of that, I get the following message "PXE-E61 media text failure - check cable, PXE - MOF- "and something about Intel Boot Agent, and then "no bootable device - install boot disk and press any key".

When I get into the bios, it shows all my drives.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, I am no expert and I sure someone with more knowledge than me will help soon, BUT first off have you set them to IDE in the bios and NOT raid ? are they in the right sata ports ? should tell you which ones in your manual, anyway those are what I would look at first if it were me.

The first message is because you have the Marvell SATA enabled but no drives attached to it. In the BIOS, Advanced / Peripheral Configuration, disable the Secondary SATA Controller.

The second message is because you have Boot to Network enabled. On the Boot menu, disable Boot to Network.

The final message is because the BIOS can't find anything to boot. Assuming you haven't installed your OS yet, do you have the install CD or DVD in your drive?

That did it. Thanks!
