I thought it would be a good idea to warn newer members at XS about hypes over new products that suck, started by bogus review sites.
Many of these websites conduct reviews in a way that does not fairly test products, so the results they get make the product look better than it really is!
The reason is, they don't want to loose their sponsors. If a company sent you an expensive component to review and you gave it a bad score, what are the chances of them sending you their next new product if they're afraid you're going to give them another bad review?
Few review sites are trustworthy, and they create false hypes for products with bogus scores. So be careful when you hear about how great some new product is. Go to review sites that are recommended here at XS, so you don't get tricked into buying a lousy product.
I now ask that regular member here, post up links to websites that offer legit reviews. :D I know that we have with us a few members who actually review products on legit sites, so I especially ask them to post links!
