I working on my first build. The directions for my X1950Pro say it needs a power cord only if one comes with it. One didn't, so I'm assuming the 512 versions must be the ones that need it. However, I do have a power cord I could use. Is there a need to do so? Would it be a problem if I did?

To my knowledge, all X1950PRO need a 6 pin PCI-E power connector from the power supply to function properly. I'm guessing the manual says if you don't have a 6 pin PCI-E power connector, you can use the included Molex to PCI-E power adapter where you plug 2 Molex adapters into your PSU and the 6 pin PCI-E into the video card itself.
