View Full Version : How to combine one raptor and an ordinary harddrive???

I have a raptor 74gb and a seagate 300gb and i would like to know where i should install the windows, where to place the swap file, program files , and the rest of my files.

Put it all on the Raptor and keep your media on the 300.

the 300GB for storage and other programs

you can put a pagefile on both

Yeah, just install the OS and games on the raptor and everything else on the other one. You might want to change the destination adresses of some of your files (e.g. My Documents) so that files are stored directly on your 300G hard drive.

I think its in "environment variables".

How do i do that?

If you want to change the destination address of 'My Documents' for example, so that any files you send there are stored in your 300G hard drive and not in your Raptor, do this:

1) Create a folder in your 300G HD, preferably with the same name (My Documents).

2) Left Click Start -> Right Click My documents -> Properties -> Copy and paste the address of the folder you created into the destination box.

Make sure to delete the older folder (move any files to the new address first) so that you don't send any files there by mistake.

Done. ;)
