changing out motherboards?

Are there any problems or pitfalls with changing out a problematic EVGA 680i motherboard for a new EVGA 680i board?
Just wondering if my OS or hardware will freak out on me.
The old board wouldn't let my sound card or 2nd 8800GTX seat properly, so I am putting in a new board.

Shouldn't make a difference. I wouldn't overclock anything until you were sure everything was recognized and working properly.
