well if you just want to run games on them then allmost all the new generation motherboards perfrom the same.. Maybe 1 or 2% difference

If youve had good luck with it, more power to you. In my experience OCing on a gigabyte is a headache. The simplest OCing ive had to date was the Abit AW9D MAX i had before this evga. ALL i changed was Vcore and FSB, (RAM at rated Voltage of course) and got 3.4 with no effort whatsoever. I like this evga a lot, but to get more than a "moderate" OC out of it, it does take some tweaking of many other voltages, and it has a lot more options for RAM tweaking than i care to mess with.
All in all though, he seems to care ONLY for gaming, not so much OCing, Which is why id suggest either a 975X Board If you like ATI for Crossfire, or a 680i board if you like Nvidia and Would like SLI capability. If Dual GFX Cards isnt important, save some bucks and get a 965. With the 100 Bucks youll likely save, get some better memory or a better vid card than you might have.

i think choosing motherboard for gaming is important if you've a lot of additional gaming hardware. but even though now kinda every board has "GAME" ports.

But it doesn't mean they are necessarily better for gaming!!! Its just Asus throwing the "gaming" title onto the boards to make them seem like less of a ripoff. On top of that they add blingy stuff like LEDs and LCD panel to make it look cool:P

IMHO for gaming, the mobo comes last, since a mobo which costs 100~120 or a mobo which costs 240$ won't give u any gain in the fps while playing the game while this amount of money is better spent on a better vga or more ra or better cooling for the cpu or vga

so the DS3 is a very good choice for gaming since it is not that expensive and still very good in overclocking

I recommend you buy a cheaper Motherboard and a better CPU/VGA - Motherboards make very little difference when it comes to games, there are lot of cheap motherboards that give you good results when it comes to OC, Quad Sli and other extreme terms or for benching (you don't need that much power to play a game) the rest is marketing, they make them Bling Bling so you go Wing Wing!
