Hi all.

Ive bought Toofasts prommy from him (hes getting a rev 2)

Its arriving tommorrow and knowing royal mail it will have been put on its side and maybee upside down. :(

Should I leave it to stand for a day or two before I try it to let the oil run where it should be in the compressor or will I be safe to just use it straight away.

Has anybody got any other tips before I get started ?

I woner what this Xp-3200 will max out at ... we shall see :D :D

yea is good to let it sit overnight before firing her up.if you here some slight noises it will proberly be oil just getting back in the compressor.cut it off and let it sit a little more.
it will clear up on its own in a day or 2 of running.

hope you can push that chip to the limit

I would also test the prommie before hooking everything up to make sure the evap head gets cold and run the mobo on air to test it before installing in Prommie. Enjoy!
PS Check out MrIcees install guide on this forum...much better than included instructions. :D

Hi Holst:)

When you are installing the screws, tighten them alternately and only 1 turn at a time. I can get both screws to maximum tightness within about 1/4 of a turn of each other using this method.
Then leave it for 20 or 30 minutes to give the string time to compress and then give them a final tighten, I usually get about 1/8 turn extra:)

Thanks for the tips guys.

Im gona leave it over the weekend and have a play on bank holiday monday :D

First ive got to work out what im gona do with the case. The enlight one isnt great and fitting in watercooling will be impossible. Ill probbly have to dangel the watercooling out the side for the time being then buy a bigger case and make it look pretty later.

I just powered it up for the first time.

Evap went down to -48*c before I turned off so its all working (thank god)

Ill be back this afternoon with some results.

Im a bit worried that ill have to cut the L3-5 brigde to get higher multiplyers on my 3200... not pleasant on such an expensive CPU :(

I dont have any aircooling, only water I did have 2.7 pretty stable with cold water.

Im using 8rda+ at the moment.

Im limited by the multiplyer so 2.7gig is the max clock I can get ATM, back later.

I cut the fith and third L3 bridges so my CPU is now fully unlocked.

I had it upto 2.8gig stable but it needed 2v so after a whyle I think my power regulation was overheating and I lost all stability :(

It might go even further but I cant reliably run over 1.95v without the board crapping out on me, I think ill change to an 8RDA3+ as the 12v power should be more stable..

(this is all barton 3200 BTW)

I also ran an old week 48 Tbread upto 2.9gig stable, but at that point I also had voltage problems.

Evap temp seems to stay between -30 and -33 is that OK?

I checked my CPU contact and it was spot on first time, great mounting method by chip-con, plus no condensation problems at all :D

Ive sorted out the problems now and ive got it upto 3gig stable.

Evap dropped to -26 so its putting out some major heat.
