Behold, the PLAYXPERT! A revolutionary new in-game widget based IM client!

Hey all, today I'd like to present to you, the PlayXpert (http://www.playxpert.com). The PlayXpert (PXP herein) is a revolutionary new game community / IM / widget based program for keeping you connected while gaming.

The PXP has an in-game overlay system which allows you to send IM's, browse the net, monitor your hardware stats (temps, voltages, etc..) and many more things through addable widgets (more and more will be made available as time goes on, you pick and choose what u want!).

Beta testing for this software is slated to begin POSSIBLY tomorrow.

Overclock3D (http://www.overclock3d.net) and PLAYXPERT (http://www.playxpert.com) are going to be working very closely on the release including an Overclock3D widget :D

I'd like to extend all of the gamers @ XtremSystems an invitation to PlayXpert's Inner Circle and help beta this outstanding new software and lend advice/ideas for new widgets, bug fixes, and changes.

Being part of the Inner Circle grants you "founding member" status and gives you the following:

1. A username of choice (and first to reserve it)
2. The ability to download the product first when we ship Beta 1
3. Access to our team to give us feedback before and after we release to make it right
4. The ability to choose how the Inner Circle is extended by allowing you to invite your friends, Guild mates, and clan mates

Theyre working out the last overlay glitch on the nV drivers and it will be ready for Beta 1 release. *SOOOO EXCITED!*

Sounds very useful. I hate games that don't support alt-tabbing that crash when I get an IM or want to look at something on my desktop during a break in the action. Doing all this stuff in-game would sure solve a lot of my headaches.

Actually, this is the correct place for it.
It is a program that is not an OS nor a game.
i.e. Software > Graphics & Other Programs

@mag: MMO'ers mainly mate. They have a built-in Thottbot widget which is netbased for tracking down NPC's and yada yada yada. Some FPS'ers might want to take a quick break to check their clan forums or possibly submit an application with a clan without leaving the game server perhaps. There are a few reasons in which you may use the built-in web browser widget.

Yup, unfortunately beta 1 didn't ship yesterday but thats ok as they've found a completely new way to work the overlay interface that will give a bigger performance boost and look better as well :)

Cant wait to try it out. A widget to be able to change the volume on my voip software in-game should be cool. Alt-tabbing when you get a call from someone with a shiz mic can be annoying, hopefully this will be the answer?
