Any advice on this new build?

Well, I'm building another computer. This one is set to be a gaming machine (but will also be used for general computing when not gaming). I am sticking to a strict $3000 CAD budget (therefore, all prices are in Canadian dollars)

Any input? ...on anything? I'm building this for my cousin (I already have a C2D rig, see sig) who is mostly just a gamer and general computer user. So he doesn't need a more "bling" motherboard, its only the functionality that matters for him. I'm not particularly fond of the Antec Nine Hundred, but he doesn't want to spend too much on a case, so does anyone have a recommendation for a nicer, but equally priced, case?

Oh, and if you are wondering about the HSF and ram: I plan to OC it a little for him.

I would for for a silverstone HJ09 or the 07 case myself, get a p5n-e or a p5b dx, prehaps one of the 18 or 20x dvd writers (i think yours is a 16x). I would also suggest double checking the mouse, i have teh same one and i gets lots of interference from things. Maybe a bigger PS too although that is a nice one already. I wouldnt get teh 8800 gtx right now either myself, sounds like he would be a perfect candidate for a 320 meg gts. Also i think the 6400 would serve him better than the 6600 too. And if hes a big gamer... maybe xp instead then?

BTW in canadian too, wher are you looking for prices? Canada direct has a great free shipping option and awesome prices. I also forgot to mention that if you are only ocing a little get cheap pc6400, the timings will make next to no difference to him and will save him some money. NCIX has a great price after a mir of 224 or something like that on some pc6400 ocz right now.
