I want to build my own phase changer and I was wondering If I could get some help. Im brand new to these boards so if you guys could bare with me as I am a noob to phase change. I know extreme air and water but I want a better cooler. If you guys could answer these questions for me it would be greatly appreciated.
1. Can I buy a mini freezer and use the parts to build one?
2. If yes what kind should I buy and what parts will I use out of it?
3. If not a mini freezer what could I buy without buying it part by part?(trying to make a cheaper one)
4. How would I go about cooling the video card with it also?
I think that is about it. Should get me started anyway. I have all the tools to do the word and am very handy with the sodder, torch, braze etc. So if you guys could help out I would really appreciate it. Thank You...

Having all the tools and being handy with them is a good start, but you will need to do a lot more research. Here is a link to Bowmans article at Phasechange.com. It is the best and most information packed article of it's kind that I have ever seen. I suggest you start by reading it start to end and follow and bookmark every link. It will give you a better idea of what you are getting into. I think you would do better to scrap the mini freezer idea completely...the parts just don't seem to be up to snuff. there are links in the article to everything you need. You may want to use an old window ac unit on your first attempt.
You can catch Bowman in here for guidance with your project. He's always quick to help. You must realize that your question is one that cannot be answered with a short answer. After you are done with the huge task of building your own, cooling your video card will be a simple task. You could go direct die, but most likely chilled water with a block would be best.

Hey Bowman, I have a question for you? If I just bought a vapochill, ive heard that you can modify it to make it cooler. Is this true? Change the liquid I think some guys were doin. Nice systems by the way, you are a genius!

LoL Bowman some of these things you do is crazy and incredible at the same time. Thanks for the input. So you can change the fluids then and you used R22. Can I just change flush it and change and run it like that? Where would I buy this R22 and how much cooler will it get than a stock vapochill? Thanks
