WTF is up w/ my X-Fi card?

I know most people have the crackling problem and I do as well. I have other problems as well. Sometimes I would not get any sound after booting. Sometimes I would just get a loud ongoing beep sound. To "fix" these problems I have to reboot.
WTF is up with this?

For no sound, try changing from one mode to another, like gaming to entertainment. It may help, works for me in rare cases where i lose my sound.

Also if your system is like ur avatar, your probably running a 680i board with SLI. SLI may have an effect on your soundcard such as what you're experiencing.

Nope, I don't have SLI anymore. Hehe.
