Sata DVD Roms

Thinking about picking up a lite-on and was wondering what the general consensus was about sata DVD rom drives. Any input appreciated.

I have the one you speak of, I absolutely love it. I like it better than my NEC's! I highly recommend it.

In my experience my Lite-On drives were always noisy and vibrated more than my Sony...could be coincidence but I've tried more than one.

From what i have read, Lite-On make the drives that Sony rebadge :fact:
At least with the model i have - 1693S

lite-on is what i'm using right now, nothing to say about it really. i like there new sata 20x dvd-drive to its really fast i think. but i want to try out plextor first

I have two Plextor 716SAs and don't have any complaints.

I want to give the Lite-on a shot, I might pick one up.
