about to do my vmods and have a very n00b question. should the pots be turned fully clockwise and then turned down to lower resistance?
yeah ive been out of electronics that long dont want to guess and blow the
p5b-d.

Well, if you are doing volt mods I assume you have a multimeter.

Measure between two legs and see which way decreases resistance.

It is usually counter-clockwise to decrease.

Is it too late to help you?

From what I've read it needs to be turned to have full resistance and then turned down whilst measuring. Have a look around there are plenty of threads and info on this and I mean plenty with a capital 'P' :)

On my pots I turn clockwise for lower resistance (= higher voltage).. Usually lower resistance means higher voltage, but if the vmod involves desoldering and replacing a resistor with the pot, higher resistance = higher voltage.

On the P5B-Deluxe lower resistance is higher voltage.

Which way to turn the pot depends on what kind of pot you have. Measure with a digital multimeter and set the pot to highest resistance before soldering it on :)
