Alrighty, for the mod in progress I need some fairly large pieces of mesh. Looking for something like the Modder's mesh, but with holes that are more close together. I'm aware this will have a detrimental effect on air flow, but if I could get it then it would make the mod come off better. Partially because the majority of the mesh will be used in decoration, only a small portion will be used as actual fan grills. Anyone know of where I could get something like this? The local hardware stores haven't been able to help much, but i'm going to try and take a sample and see if I can get anything.

I've seen some screen door mesh, that would work..but its not really what I would like. Any suggestions? Since i'm trying to get it in larger sheets than i've been able to find Modder's Mesh, and i'm in a way trying to avoid the exorbant prices for it. Any suggestions on products, links to products, etc...are greatly appreciated.

Also, while i'm at it. Does anyone know of a reliable site, with competitive prices on LEDs? I need to buy some for spot lighting, and don't like the idea of paying $3 - $5 for a couple of LEDs, seems a bit much. Resistors are also needed, are they not? As I intend to wire them in a series, with some sort of on / off relay switch.

Performance PCS is the place to get all those above stated, you can get resistors at local store like Radio Shack or Gateway for cheap

Thanks for the suggestions, the only thing is i'm kinda looking for something that has hole spacings alittle closer together. As in smaller holes, and more of them. That particular kind of honeycomb mesh I have, and the holes are fairly large, and the look doesn't come through as well I don't think. Atleast for this usage.

Do you, or anyone else happen to know of a type of mesh thats got more holes, spaced closer together? For example the kind of look that the stock 5.25" bay covers of a Stacker has.

EDIT - I'm looking at some of the below, its the first option on the linked page. However it seems like for as much as i'd need, it would get costly..and quick. Anyone happen to know what application this stuff has in the "real world", so that I might procure some from a store at cost.

I'm not sure how close they are but you can give them a call to verify, as far as I know A.C. Ryan is well known products for modding

I have been looking for some decent hex mesh for some time.

CrazyPC has it, only theirs is the cheap steel kind that will rust unless coated.

Only problem with this AC Ryan is that it is a max of 500mm.

I would need a rather large sheet since the idea I had in mind for it was to layer the entire side window on my Lian Li PC75 case for EMI shielding. Only other option with the ACRyan would be getting the individual sheets to PERFECTLY line up with each other.

Any ideas?

Ahhh my apologies.

A quick conversions reveals that 500mm = roughly 19.6 inches.

The side window on my case is 17x17 inches. Just enough to work with.

I am well familiar with the Celcius scale, however my milimeter calibrations are a bit off.

if you want that metal mesh material go to McMaster Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/

Just visit the MNPC Tech site for the specs of that modders mesh and you can find it in larger sizes and cheaper on Mcmaster Carr last time I checked.

hope this helps!
