Since Monday I have been unable to access msn, messenger, hotmail and a few others sites. This is on a variety of machines at home. Out of 7 machines trying to attempt this 2 have worked. 1 being a fedora install and the other being an XP pro without IE7. 2 of these are 2003 servers. I have contacted my ISP and there are no problems there. This is using firefox and ie.

I have flushed DNS and cleared DNS in active directory. I have skipped using NAT+Router and gone directly on static public IP.

When I ping or tracert I am able to resolve and get response. When for example I enter hotmail.com into the browser (ie + firefox) it resolves to login.live etc but fails to load the page and eventually times out.I have entered the IP manually and this doesnt work either.

So far all this has been done remotely as Im away from home at the moment. The strange this is the only system with windows that does work hasnt been validated ( my sister didnt want media player 11 or ie7 so didnt even bother running the checks). All the other windows systems are up to date. Windows updates (thru the yellow sheild) still works also.

I have run hijack this and also mcafee but they find nothing.

Im pulling my hair out here.....well what I have left anyway. Help !

Edit: If I use a proxy the websites work.

Seems it was routing issues with my ISP.

They always like to say its something else....typical.
