Tigerdirect Intel Bad Axe 2..

I noticed that Tigerdirect is charging $199 for the Bad Axe 2 while other places like Newegg and whatnot are charging $249 and up.

So...

What's the catch?

Is the Bad Axe 2 that Tigerdirect is selling Retail or OEM? I was thinking it was OEM because it is $50 less, but I don't know for sure. I called and asked them but the guy was somewhat difficult to understand (language barrier), he just said itr was very new and "should" be in the retail box.

Any ideas, guys?

I got my Badaxe2 from Tigerdirect, full retail package. I got mine through Amazon.com, the shipping was cheaper going that route for some reason (same price though). No regrets, its a great board.

Yeah, I noticed the shipping seems pretty expensive, but the total price is still a good deal less then some of the other places.

I always put Tigerdirect in the "overpriced" category..guess I was wrong. I'd rather not think about how much I could have saved over the years. lol

Mwave is a very reputable company. Tigerdirect kinda scares me because of their reputation with rebates but I hear you always get the product. Just sometimes they're shady with the rebates, but even then I've heard they are better now.

But mwave's description of the cheaper one: INTEL BOXD975XBX2KR BUNDLE W/ RETAILED looks like maybe it comes in OEM packaging but comes with all retail accessories? Maybe a phone call is in order if you want to save the $12.

yes that one, well i like the high FSB thing and badaxe2 have lock multi.
i can play the multi's on the QUADGT , i like that board ,it also keeps the 1066 strap even at 500+ fsb
