I'm RMA'n my Asus P5B Deluxe and looking to order a new motherboard.

I think I've narrowed it down to these two:

Intel BX2 and the eVGA 680i. The rest of my componenets are in my signature block.

What I plan on using this computer for is everything pretty much (music, games, school, etc.), however what I would like the power for is gaming. I don't plan on clocking past 400x9, and might even sit at 400x8 depending on how my temps look. I would like a board that supports the quad core Intel CPUs since I'm hoping to upgrade down the road. Also, I don't plan on SLI'n but that is always a bonus since it gives me the optioon if I want to (I don't think the BX2 can SLI, only Crossfire at x8?)

Based on what I've read, the 680i seemed to have been plagued with a lot of problems but most of them seem to have been resolved with the newer BIOS from eVGA. The Intel BX2 seems to really be a slick motherboard but based on what I've read/seen, the 680i seems to benchmark higher in gaming and memory bandwidth/latency. However, I've heard the 680i chipset runs very hot.

So anyways, I know a lot of you guys have experience with both these boards. If you could give me some pros and cons that would be great. Stability is huge for me but I'm also a sucker for performance. ;)
