are they ever going to fix 4:5 ram ratio

What's SLP 2.0 support?
i think it's to do with vista (system lock preinstall)

I assume this BIOS works with the non-WiFi version as well?

IT IS A HARDWARE ISSUE :)
If you want to get 4:5 working... u have 2 options:
use CL=5, other times as per your choice.
use single channel mode... 4:5 works like a charm after that.
If you want the 4:5 fixed, time to do some RMAing.
C5 wont help, single channel is rather useless and its not his hardware. And yes 4/5 divider works but only up to a certain point which in this case is the problem.... 400fsb with mem at 500 isnt hard but give 480fsb with mem @ 600 a go and youll understand what Dinos means.

probably not the right place to ask this but.....
I have one problem with my P5B dlx. When I reset bios or plug out and plug in the power cable or flash a new bios or change some important things in bios like voltages my cpu restarts but does not start few seconds after. It usually takes few minutes but sometimes 15 minutes or even more :(
Is it fixable or should I take it to guarantee? I would like to awoid the other solution becouse I would have to wait a long time to get a new one :)

Hi Tony, I have Geil DIMM 2048MB DDR II 800MHz Ultra low latency and I have big problem with this Ram and My p5b d. They are ok only on 400Mhz, you think that this my problem and this bios will solved it?? Thx for help!!!

im running a 2gb set of geil pc6400 ultra low latency and have just got a p5b-deluxe and would appreciate any help with the ram timings, especially what to set the "10,10,10,10" settings to..

Let there 10,10,10,10. Can you write if are you able go with this ram high than 400 Mhz?? I and alot of people have big problem with this ram on this MB, we cant get higher than 400=800Mhz. And no timing or more V doestn help:(
Mr Dead I have the same ram as you and for me is only stable 4,4,4,12-10,10,10,10.
RatusNatus are you sure?? Hace you nay expirience with this ram and this MB??

Ops, maybe not for sure, now i think not!

nope the problem is more severe....
one of my friends paid the $$ and got himself a cellshock 1000 4-4-4 kit.
his p5bdelux... (same bios, i.e. 0804) booted right off with 4:5 and memory at 501mhz (401 x 9 = 3.6Ghz)
we changed all the hardware to my p5bdeluxe.
no boot. even with with maxed out volts or loosened timings.
i tried full night to get it working... after a lot of permutations and combinations, i found two solutions:
cl = 5
or single channel
btw if u check, due to the highly inefficient memory controller architechture, the difference between single channel and dual channel is not much. atleast not as much as you would get in a A64 platform.
what do you have to say to that?

IT IS A HARDWARE ISSUE.
Find me any 965 board that clocks well in 4:5.
The chipset simply cannot do it.
4:5 also has the tightest internal latency tweaks thus giving you best performance. 4:5 at 500mhz memory is much faster then 2:3 or 1:1 with 600mhz memory bandwidth wise.
Also for the reconrd on this board 4-4-4 is faster then 3-3-3 so dont bother tightening up timings.
And last, for the person asking about the 10-10-10-10 settings, either play with them yourself, or leave them as they are, each set of ram at different voltage can handle different timings for these.

For me it works like charm until 433/1080mhz that i've tested it.

Agree but thats what i meant. I thought he meant a particular part of hardware dinos was using causing the problem except for board. Me cpu/board can do 583, mem 613 but max with 4/5 divider is 453 with 567 for mem.

4-4-4 is faster then 3-3-3 when you boot at 400fsb max. 3-4-3 wil be faster then 4-4-4 though. Over 401 from bios 3-3-3 is best on same mem mhz, at least for me.

reverted back to 0802

anyone saying it is a hardware issue is mistaken
this is simply latency issue which Anus engineers need to address
Gigabyte DS3 in my testing gave me the same MHz out of RAM with 4:5 and 1:2 ratio
i was also confirmed by one of our i4memory members that commando also clocks the same with those ratios http://www.i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=3552
asus DH mobo also had that problem which was later fixed with a bios update according to a user here......
I am NOT saying it doesn't work kids. It works BUT the RAM does not clock as high on 4:5 ratio as it does on 1:2 for example.......they should be similar within a few MHz and not larger....................in my testing with P5B Deluxe and HZ sticks i can run the RAM at 543MHz 4-4-4-x 2.4v 32M SPI with 2:3 ratio and only ~480MHz 4-4-4-x 2.4v with 4:5 ratio
and NO Single channel does not provide any gains for me with various RAM

It does not really help ....
I have Corsair XMS PC2-6400 (2x512) ... If It set to 11, computer won't boot .. Got checksum error. Must set back to 10.

i agree, the differnece in clock is huge, but the bandwidth is way higher... i suppose i dont care for that reason... in 4:5 the P5B flies clock for clock.

perhaps our setups are different, ive only tested at around 500fsb, but 4-4-4 is always fastest.. ill retest again soon using a real bench like winrar or everest latency... (last time i only used pi)

Uhm, which part of the hardware is defected? I ran through two boards that wouldn't do 4:5 at 4-4-4-12.
Ok, seems there is an overclocking problem with the new 0910. It requires a little more voltage to be stable. There is another member on here who has reported the same issue. I had to flash back to 0804 to get my system stable. Going to 0910 I have to pump more voltage into memory and cpu. Guess 0804 is better than 0910 if you're overclocking.

Sometimes my board will post but video never comes on even after windows loads. Only fix is rebooting and crossing fingers. I wonder if this bios will fix that.

Flashed to 0910 from 0711, no problems noted, still clocking 8x400 1.375 which of course droops to 1.33 or so under load.

6. Finetune Q-Fan rule
did they add any fan options or is it the same uber "optimal" and "performance" settings just adjusted
I can't even boot 9x400 4:5 with my cellshocks (any bios, various timings), yet no problem at 2:3 and ram at 600
