Hixie will be the new PYmernator.
EDIT: Hixie... your in HK right? Hong Kong is linked to the rest of the world on 30 Mbit... correct me if I'm wrong.. would that slow your 100Mbit line down in effect? Maybe not... Well I'd select HK domains in preference with MJ-12. :)

Hmmm... I was also wondering whether I was allowed to put MJ12 on my dads rig @ work. Didn't do it, he'd probably be fired due to excessive bandwith usage. But OMG, they have 10Gbit fiber

Yes, Hong Kong is connected to the rest of the world on 30Mbps lines, but i found you only get around 25mbps. However, servers from China, Taiwan and Japan seem to respond alot quicker than 25Mbps. So the first think i did when i installed MJ-12 was to click all HK, China and japan servers :D
Anyways, is MJ-12's server down? My client can't connect to the server.

yes 1.4.3 is installed and running but can't connect to the server.
Would it be that my router is blocking the signal? I'm using a normal D-link router ATM and not my IPCOP box.

I'm on an old DLink on Verizon FIOS and no issues here.
I don't know what to say. Windows firewall?

All I can think to try is make sure your using 1.4.3, and double check the settings, use the net library not the MJ12 library..

Hixie have you tried contacting the ISP. They could be aware of MJ12 type programs and deliberatly blocking access. Maxxing out 100mb is alot of traffic for them and mj12 will do it no probs.
Have you tried it on a box that doesnt go through a router with just a direct connection (make sure you have firewall on with exceptions for mj12) and see if it makes any difference. This would eliminate the router.
I suspect ISP to be honest but I dont know exactly what the policies are like in HK.

Good news to hear! I made adjustments here on MJ12 last night and should be over 5 mil a day now..With my little "helper" I might make 7 million tomorrow.
This is on 1.4.5 RC1 using a fresh install. That and adjustments to the priorities made the difference.
My router has a nice "warm" feeling to it now that it's working at max.
We'll try and hold off those crazed Norweigans till your up ands running!
Good Luck!:toast:

Well both of them won't be functional until after chinese new year, so you guys have to hold on a little longer.
Sorry for this many delays, work has eaten up most of my time. Only got a couple hours a day to fiddle with my computers.
Got this new network drive product real cheap, want to look into the possibility of using it to host MJ-12 as a standalone machine. Anyone have any ideas?

A little case that you place a HDD inside then plug the case into your router and use it as a FTP server or a Samba server.

Yeah, a big  for you, you are doing great.
I've got two machines back up, one is giving me hell, but I'm also trying.
Would be great if Hixie could fix the problems, would leave Norway way behind, and FDC also for that matter, seems PY22 is under the impression there's enough distance between us and them... and he is right

Hey, wish I had more. This is really a team effort and considering the issues we have with ISP's here that don't want you to use what you paid for we're not doing bad.
What we really need is 5-10 guys that could toss in a 1/5 mil a day each.
It doing 1.5mil a day on a cable line that get's the ISP's attention.
WE need quantity!:D
