Now I dont need all you experts on folding jumping down my throat for this so please dont insult, one has to learn some time. I was wandering as a newbie to this what the hell is folding?? Now i know i have commited a mortal sin by admitting my ignoance in this area but just bear with me and dont use your best techno jargon slams on me save them for somone who deserves them

Not a problem bro, folding is the name of a program where they use unused cpu cycles to fold proteins in hopes of finding cures for cancer and alzheimers disease. As you can see a very worthwhile cause that cost you nothing. we don't jump ''noobs'' like ot[H]er forums... we want your questions...

folding is a great program!! besides benching your system it is a virtual program that helps scientists understand why protiens... DNA ''FOLD'' wrong - and when they ''fold'' wrong that is where viruses and dieseases come from... by understanding where the error happens they can CTRL+Z that problem by creating a 'key' to fit into the space that is not folding correctly.... basically filling in the missing piece of the puzzle

if you see a flame I wanna know personally...... that is NOT cool here at all! we are professional here we can have fun and play but you pick troubnle with a person wantign to learn and that does not fly - period!
