nice. wow a1's were 4mb cache eh? Nice find, my b1 is only 2mb.
Is yours a true a1 or a different a? I remember reading that someone had an a4 but it reports as a1.

I think that is one of the "new" E6400s that'll have 4MB of cache. Intel is bumping all the E6xxx chips up to 4MB of cache and creating the E4xxx line with 2MB of cache. It might not be great for WRs but it looks like an exciting chip. I can barely break 14 seconds at 4100MHz with my E6400 w/ 2MB of cache so that 13.625 looks good at "only" 3722Mhz.

haha look at his cpuz screenie. definitely not new line e6420.
6F1 6F A1
For reference, my final grade ES is 6F5 6F B1.
Look at his cpuid string. Not even valid :)
edit: he listed the week. 601. lol

no, only 1.75v from bios, this board is freak, w/ 1.85v do 1M @ 476fsb :D

On the cap stay ES A4, but in CPUZ A1. Yes B1 has 2MB, only A* has 4MB.

4MB 6400 is nice, I'm even more curious how you got it. :D
Any chance you could bench 1MB Pi at 4Ghz?

Thank you all guys :toast:
Im trying to push it higher, but I need to do the vcore, vdroop and vmch mod before.. ;)
Blknoel: 4GHz would be very extreme from this CPUs, the WR is 3840 w/ LN2 now.. (Tarosa made that i think but not sure..)

Are you referring to these specific A1-A4 e6400s? That speaks real well for your progress for sure. Looks like you'll be setting WR soon maybe :)

thx ;)
UPDATE
P5W DH fullmod done.
CPUZ valid from 3805mhz (http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=158174) (8*475fsb)
I can easy hit 3.8ghz w/ 1.7-1.75v but around 3820mhz its a wall
I set extreme high vcore but doesnt help, vmch was 2.0-2.05v but 475fsb is no problem for the mobo w/ 1.85v, so the only chance for the WR do more -°C outside w/ the Vapo or Dry Ice..
hehe, this is not the highest vcore I set :D:D @2.0v the win crashd and restart.. (the evapolator was still -35C)

How does your es scale with voltage?
stable voltages, not only 1M pi (under Vapo of course)
~1.3v 3200mhz
~1.4v 3300mhz
~1.5v 3400mhz
~1.6v 3500mhz
~1.7v 3600mhz
~1.8v+ 3800mhz :D
thanks Drag :D

Seems to be much better than my A4 ES. Maybe I need a better cooler than the mini typhoon.
