I wonder how many kids are ADD and on Ritalin or Adderall who play in these leagues. My guess is that there is a good portion, probably significantly more than your average stat sample of the population.

if illegal drug use at competitions ever became a concern, the CPL would begin testing for illicit substances.

They're only going to do something if suspicions/accusations arise.

I actually read the whole article, and it was a very good read. I can honestly say I'd never do drugs at an event like that (or anywhere tbh), just because I'm afraid of what side effects might occur. Drinking a few bottles of beer wouldn't be too harmful. It'd sure kill your skill though. :p:

Sounds good to me. I support this action in full. Drugs are bad for you, and there is no reason for them in the gaming environment.

Thanks,

I disagree. I have found that 2-3 beers improves my gameplay after work. It is the same thing when I go play pool. More than 3 or 4 is detriment though...

since Caffeine is a chemical relative of the amphetamines family, does that mean I have to stop drinking mountain Dew?

One - two does the same for me, I'm not as "jumpy" and I think about my actions more than just rushing every round. :p:

More than that would probably start to hurt my gameplay though.

As for caffeine-loaded energy drinks such as Red Bull and Rockstar, Munoz says the CPL has no plans to regulate such products, even though some gamers have complained about the heavy consumption of such drinks and the positive effects they have on gaming. "We can't really regulate that. Can you really tell a tennis player not to drink a lot of caffeine before a match?" Munoz says. "Plus, I'm not sure that caffeine is the right drug for gaming."

Seriously, nnstep, did you even read the article or just spam?

Yeah, I feel less jumpy too. Essentially I don't over react when I get suprised or ambushed.

Anyway maybe I need 2-3 beers because I am bigger than you, what do you weigh? (also I am half Irish if that counts for anything)
