Is the current unit a solid one?
My b1 will post at -127c max/5340mhz/1.94v, can boot OS no colder than about -125c, and runs benches at -131c. Those are the absolute limits even at 2v on that unit. K-type probe UEI-DT200 with thermocouple hole drilled as close to bottom of evap as possible. With a poor performance unit on the chip, it will run much colder at the base temps of the unit because of the bad effienciency of the cntainer at removing heat.
If your temps have been swinging all over the place and difficult to control, you should be very pleased with the swinging on this one. Keep an eye on the cylinder and the nitrogen level when you first start using it, with some practice you will be able to give the chip exactly what it needs when it needs it while your benching...ie some tests in 3dmark benching require better loaded temps than others during one complete run ;). This is where the cylinder helps tremendously. Think of it as a "cold throttle". I dont need to look inside the container anymore becasue I know exactly how much is in there by sound now :D.
If your chip can run that temp (-175c) on my unit...I would s*** and tell you it's def a keeper.

Prepare for takeoff then :D.
One thing on base temps...they aren't the best value included in performance data, as there can be variations in thermoucouple's and meters and then there is the issue of placement which can have an effect on the measurement as well. But base temp referencing while benching is still so important to your benching with ln2, more important than anything really so IMO it's critical that the probe is installed properly and in a spot to give the most accurate reflection of whats going on at the bottom of the unit under load. I rarely look at the monitor when I am benching 3d, only base temps.
Sorry for the ranting in your thread btw dude lol. Thought it might help you or others a little, but you guys know whatsup ;). Great going so far, good luck with your HW, and most importantly have fun. That chip could very well be something special maybe like Hipros, OPB/coolaler's, or ojdr's. If you can run even in the -140' to -150's on that unit, I would say thats still an awesome one if it likes the volts.
